I’d go with clicker …
I’d go with clicker training if I was you – all dogs love clicker training and respond brilliantly to it.
Make sure you are consistent in your training, provide loads of feedback to your dog, keep training sessions short, sharp and focused and also use treats that your dog loves.

Very interesting. We are getting a Chihuahua on the 18th of Sept. She will be 8 weeks then and we will be able to bring her home. I want to first start on the potty training…Is the “Clicker” a good way to train with that?

It all depends on your dog and your skill as a trainer.
In the long run it doesn’t matter how long it takes to teach a new trick or any behavior. The important thing is to have fun with it and enjoy the process.
